Name: The Knight
Canon: Hollow Knight
Pull Point: Post-Game, either replacing their sibling in the Temple or being triumphant against the Radiant.
Notes: The Knight is genderless and will be referred to with they/them pronouns. They do not speak, but will mostly use body language to communicate unless given writing utilities.
Size: The Knight is tiny in game, where most of the characters are based on insects. Canonly they are smaller than an ant. For RP purposes, they are no taller than a standard pen.

"The Knight is a discarded Vessel(*). They are the child of the Pale King and the White Lady, born in the Abyss(**) with Void(***) inside their shell/mask. Hornet is the Knight's sister through their shared father, the Pale King. Like the rest of their Vessel siblings, the Knight is genderless.

*The Vessels are genderless beings of the Void who were created by the Pale King as a means of stopping the Infection($). They are described as the progeny of the Pale King and to be the spawn of the White Lady, containing the "soul" of the two beings.

**The Abyss is an ancient area full of Vessel corpses and home of the Void. The shades of dead Vessels, the Siblings, wander along the very bottom.

***The Void is the substance of The Abyss.

$ The Infection, sometimes referred to as the ancient sickness, bright light, or the plague, is the main antagonistic force in Hollow Knight, leading to the deaths of thousands of bugs and ultimately the downfall of the kingdom of Hallownest. While much of the game uses softer blue and black tones, the Infection often manifests in a bright orange. This orange tone is most commonly seen in the colour of an infected bug's eyes, though it can also be seen in spores and even projectiles. Infected bugs usually display these physical and mental characteristics:
- Physical bloating
- Large orange cysts
- Clouds of orange gas hovering around the victim
- Fragmenting of their mind
- Tendencies to attack non-infected bugs
- Increase in strength and courage
- Lack of self-preservation when heavily infected

The Knight is a small omnic, made as a personal project by someone lost during the last year of the Omnic Crisis. They are the size of Zenyatta's head and often go unnoticed by human and omnic alike. They took on the task of taking care of infected rodents that infested the apartment such as cockroaches and rats.
